Another slow week, with a few fish lost.
Early in the week Don Mackay caught a Grilse, both Norris Wilson and Alvin Campbell caught Salmon. Hopefully better days to come.
A slow week but Alec Mackechan had a nice Sea Trout on Wednesday 9th, Alvin Campbell with a 5LB Grilse on the gangway on 10th and Michael Munro also caught a Grilse at the Honey Pot on 9th.
This specimen was caught at the Gangway on 10th July 2025 by Alvin Campbell
A good start to July with Grilse appearing. Grilse caught at the Honey pot by David Gill from Elgin.
Alister McKeachan, Don Mackay, Ken Minnock & Colin More all caught Grilse and Sea Trout at the Gangway.
Nice fly water here
A reasonable week with Grilse being lost and some caught. John Urquart had a mid week grilse coming in at approximately 4LB on the Gangway and Ronnie Fraser with another at the end of the week at the Honey Pot. Even with the windy weather, Trout are also being caught on the Lochs.
We have had a slow start to the opening of the season as the arrival of rain had cleared any fish waiting in The Kyle. On saying that, the fish are being seen and a couple were briefly played and some nice Sea Trout were landed, 1 x 4LB below the bridge and returned along with others.
